Festival of Trees

For the Berkshire region the unofficial start of the holiday season begins with the Berkshire Museum's annual Festival of Trees.

Celebrating its 29th year, the museum is transformed from top to bottom into a winter wonderland with over 100 festive trees, each decorated by a local business (for example, a jeweler will submit a glimmering tree of rings).

The grand opening party this year is November 22 from 5:30 to 7:30 and celebrates the theme Yesterday, Today, and Tomorrow. Look forward to seeing trees reflecting past and present styles and the unlimited possibilities of Christmas' future. On display until January 2, 2014.

As you take in the sights of the multiple floors and rooms of trees that will enchant both adult and child alike, enjoy the the backdrop of current museum exhibitions such as Objectify: A Look into the Permanent Collection and Radical Traditionalism.
