Firework Displays

Many things change in today's world but firework shows remain the same. They see huge turnouts, people of all ages, looking at bombs bursting in air. Luckily there are many opportunities to enjoy these spectacular sights in our region - from Lime Rock Park's famous show to Poughkeepsie's display over the Hudson River. We've gathered all the best ones. Now you just have to choose!

JULY 1, 2017
Lime Rock, Connecticut
The wildly-popular event at Lime Rock Park attracts spectators from all over Connecticut, so get there early. Gates open at 6PM for the 9PM fireworks.

Warren, Connecticut
The Lake Waramaug Association fireworks display will take place on Saturday at 9:30 p.m. Flare lighting at 9:00 p.m. Rain date Sunday July 2nd.

JULY 3rd & 4th

James Taylor plays his annual gig at his hometown venue of Tanglewood, concluding the evening with fireworks. Tickets are going fast. For those who cannot attend, the fireworks should still be easy to spot.

JULY 4th
Germantown, New York
An Old-Fashioned Independence Day. 18th Century crafts, re-enactors, music and entertainment. A great day for young families. Later, enjoy live music and delicious hot food with a view of the Saugerties Fireworks over the Hudson River. 2PM-10PM.

North Adams, Massachusetts
One of the most prestigious displays, the celebration draws thousands of viewers.

Poughkeepsie, New York
The city's annual fireworks extravaganza is not to be missed. View it from Waryas Park for free or the walkway over the Hudson River is an amazing option. Begins at dusk - about 9:20PM. Rain date July 7th.

JULY 8th

Annual fireworks over Otis Reservoir begins at dusk. Rain date is July 5th.

JULY 15th
North Canaan, Connecticut
Held at Lawrence Field, the fireworks finish off Railroad Days, which is chock full of family-friendly events over the course of two weeks. 9PM.
