Six Depot Roastery & Cafe

Our Favorite Things

Lisa Landry and Flavio Lichtenthal take coffee seriously; it's way more than light or dark roast. Located in West Stockbridge, their recently opened cafe, roastery, and wholesaler processes, presses, and brews their own coffee, offering guests a unique opportunity to try beans from far-ranging places like Ethiopia and Bali, many of which they have visited and selected themselves. You don't have to be a coffee authority to enjoy these master beans, Lisa and Flavio are more than happy to help you find your perfect roast (and unlike most coffee snobs, they pass no judgement for the cream-and-sugar types).

The smell of coffee may get you in the door but their delicious locally sourced food will keep you there with a menu that is appealing to vegetarian and carnivore alike and refreshingly affordable. Offering breakfast and lunch, generously portioned plates includes the slow roasted porchetta panini for $9, a fresh and crisp kale salad for $7 and a cup of their soon-to-be-famous coffee for only $2.

The charming décor, designed by local artist Adam Medina, features large communal tables giving the place a European dining feel so important to the owners, drawn to the idea of creating a community gathering place at their cafe. So whether you’re with company or alone, you’re always seated amongst friends. Adds Lichtenthal, “We created a place that was missing, a place we wished were here.”

Six Depot's coffee is a finalist for the Martha Stewart American Made Awards; dry goods. Online voting begins September 15, make sure to vote!
