Pergola Home

There are a few things that create excitement at BerkshireStyle.com, (Two of these are gardens and beautiful home décor.) When a shop like New Preston’s Pergola Home, impresses us with its ability to seamlessly channel the outdoors indoors, we can only designate it as one of our Favorite Things.

The two-floor shop is bright and welcoming and its connection to nature is immediately obvious. Beautifully crafted terrariums and other forms of living art compliment the thoughtfully designed display tables. There is a subtle Japanese influence and also a playful integration of New England’s historic Victorian Garden style.

Kathyrn Walker’s Sangha, which consists of 1000 completely unique vessels, is sure to catch your eye. The vessels are “symbolic of the differences and beauty in every individual and the vital importance of our commonality.” They make beautiful gifts alone or in groups ; there are colors and designs to express any individual.

Another notable item is Peter Elliot’s breathtaking Winter. This beautifully bound photo book captures the delicate beauty of winter in Litchfield County. It is exclusively available at Pergola in limited quantities. There will be a special book signing on December 14th from 2-4.

Just in time for the holidays, Pergola has a fantastic collection of handcrafted decorations. The most impressive are stunning silver pinecones made by Master Gardener Ray Baker.
