Greet the Season

At Trade Secrets

Fingers are itching to get into the soil and the time for frost-free planting is approaching. Preparation for the gardening season will step up a notch May 13th and 14th when Trade Secrets returns for its ninth year.

Saturday, May 13th, will again bring the Rare Plant and Garden Antique Sale held at LionRock Farm in Sharon. More than 60 vendors will bring rare and unusual plants and garden antiques for shoppers to take home. Garden enthusiasts will find rare specimens from specialized growers and some of the nation’s best-known small nurseries; and furniture, antiques, cloches, wrought iron fencing, garden statuary and so much more from the choicest purveyors of garden antiques.

The sale starts at 8 AM and ends at 3 PM.

Unfortunately, the self-guided tours of four private gardens in Cornwall, Falls Village and Ashley Falls have been sold out but tickets can still be purchased at the door for the Rare Plant & Garden Antiques Sale, subject to availability. Early buying tickets, $125, and allow entrance at 8 AM (breakfast included). Regular buying, $50, begins at 10 AM, and Late Bloomers, $25, are admitted at 1 PM. Late Bloomer tickets will be sold only on the day of the sale event.

Tickets will be mailed to the mailing address provided on the order.

“We are so fortunate each year to have so much support for Trade Secrets,” said Dr. D. Elizabeth Mauro, executive director of Women’s Support Services. “This fundraiser provides necessary funding for the programs and services that help us to create a community free of domestic violence and abuse.”
