Art to the Rescue

Beauty and the beasts—the two will come together June 23 when fashion designer John Bartlett, founder of the Tiny Tim Rescue Foundation, hosts Art to the Rescue, a silent auction of fine art and luxury items to benefit Cornwall’s Little Guild Animal Shelter.

Bartlett has teamed with By Request Home Concierge and invites all to an evening of cocktails, plant-based hors d’oeuvres and fine art. Among the auction items are work by Ted Barkhorn, who photographs what he terms, “anomalies in nature." Barkhorn says these photos take him on a spiritual journey.

There will also be a special guest appearance by Hugh Panaro, a leading man on Broadway as well as a leader in animal activism.

The Little Guild’s goal is to shelter homeless cats and dogs, finding them loving new families and supporting their transition through education for both animals and adopters. It also serves Northwestern Connecticut through reduced-cost spay/neuter and vaccination clinics, a free pet food pantry, and pet-related education events.

Tickets for the event are $75. It will be held from 5-7:30PM at the Judy Black Memorial Park & Gardens, 1 Green Hill Road, Washington Depot.
