The Great Country Mutt Show

Cornwall is going to the dogs in September. The Great Country Mutt Show, a Westminster-style Mutt Show that showcases dogs of all breeds and creeds, will be held on Saturday, September 25th, 11 AM-2PM on the Green.

Categories such as “the best mask,” “the best lapdog over 40 pounds,” “the waggiest tail” and “the sweetest pair,” offer many chances for dogs to take to the ring. And while those show rings are in action, there will be many other activities on the green including a silent auction, raffles, live music and food trucks.

All proceeds benefit The Little Guild Animal Rescue.

On the same day, from noon to 3PM, other dogs will be given a chance to find a loving home. Puppies, Pumpkins and Pizza, an adoption rescue event and fundraiser at Angevine allows participating rescue organizations (including The Little Guild) to bring animals for you to meet.

The event is sponsored by Dog Watch of Litchfield County and Aspetuck Animal Hospital. The rain date is September 26th.

Food, toys, blankets, leashes and monetary donations will be gratefully accepted and dispersed among the participating organizations.

Vendor spaces are available to help offset event costs. Merchandise or services relating to pets—animal motifs, foods, products and services, health and care—are welcome.

The registration fee for an approximate 12’x12’ space or larger, is $30. Wifi is available for card processing. Vendors are responsible to provide their own table(s), tent and other supplies.
