APOLLO 11: AN INSIDE LOOK

The Moviehouse in Millerton is excited to be presenting showings of Apollo 11—the visually stunning 2019 Sundance-selected documentary about the moon landing. This cinematic event, 50 years in the making, includes never-before-seen footage and audio recordings and takes you straight into the heart of NASA’s most celebrated mission as astronauts Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin embark on a historic trip to the moon. The footage is so real, it looks like it should be fake.

Buddhist practitioner, life coach, musician and author of the How Life Works series, Janet Ettele, is presenting a talk on “Inner Peace as a Way of Life; Buddhist Wisdom for a Modern World.” Ettele emphasizes many aspects and practices of Buddhism that enhance life and a sense of peace and are compatible with the whole spectrum of spiritual and religious beliefs. She introduces the Buddhist principles of interdependence, impermanence, kindness, compassion and equanimity in a practical manner so that you may incorporate them into your everyday life. Free.

ANNUAL SPRING KIRTAN: HARMONIOUS GATHERING
March 24th, Sunday, 6:30PM

Led by Sruti Yoga Center’s favorite musicians (Carrie Grossman, Justin Green and Charlie Braun) the Annual Spring Kirtan is an evening of song, prayer, music, sound and silence. Kirtan is a call and response form of chanting that elevates the soul and stirs the heart as you gather together in Sruti’s candlelit studio to reflect on the winter and offer welcome to the spring. LADIES’ NIGHT OUT: FEEL GOOD

Tonight, the Berkshires’ wellness community will be taking over Crissey Farm with demonstrations, tastings, exercises and more from 18 local professionals. The offerings range from destress/detox teas by Extra Special Teas, to make-up demos by Iredale Cosmetics, to circus squat exercises taught by Berkcirque. FISHING: ALL-STAR CASTING

This work-in-progress showing offers a first look at the new all-star collaboration between actor Jon Hamm (Mad Men), percussionist Glenn Kotche of the band Wilco and director/choreographer Danielle Agami. A ravishing piece of multidisciplinary performance that explores the beautiful, simple absurdity of desire.
