WASHINGTON DEPOT BLOCK PARTY: COMMUNITY PRIDE
June 7th, Friday, 4:30 - 9:30PM

Washington Depot’s Community Block Party, Valley Spirit Wellness Center’s First Friday Event and the Judy Black Memorial Park’s Movie Night are joining together for one spectacular fun-filled night. Begin by celebrating the town’s local businesses and small-town life with a community BBQ with live music or enjoy a stroll through the depot sampling a variety of foods and specialty drinks from the local shops. For children there will be face painting, yoga, a treasure hunt and a ceramics workshop. And finally, when the sun sets, experience the nostalgia and romance of a screening of Casablanca under the stars. Free.

JACOB’S PILLOW COMMUNITY DAY: PRE-SEASON
June 8th, Saturday, 11AM - 3PM

Get ready for Jacob Pillow’s 2019 season with a pre-Festival, family-friendly afternoon. There will be several dance classes to chose from including Drum and Rhythm Circle, Folk Dance Around the World or Hip Hop dance class. Kids can enjoy the dance-themed children’s activities and kid-friendly tours of the grounds. There will also be performances on the Inside/Out stage by regional studios and companies, a food truck, and more! Free.

ROCKWELL MUSEUM’S 50TH ANNIVERSARY OPENING DAY
June 8th, Saturday, 11AM - 5PM

The Norman Rockwell Museum’s 50th Anniversary Opening day begins with a special program with Sue Erikson Bloland, an accomplished psychoanalyst and daughter of Erik Bloland, doctor and close acquaintance of Norman Rockwell. Events throughout the day include Walks & Talks with the Curators (including one geared towards children) that will exploring the three new Anniversary exhibitions on view and the messages of hope from 1969. There will also be a meet and greet with artist Peter Rockwell, Norman Rockwell’s youngest son, who will discuss his art and share background on his most recent creations—the small-scale sculptural gargoyles, which will be on view. Free with admission.

SHARON PLAYHOUSE: CELEBRATING 60 YEARS
June 8th, Saturday, 5:30PM

Celebrate the beginning of the Sharon Playhouse’s 60th season with a special preview party where members from each of the season’s productions will perform songs from Crazy for You, Michael Berkley’s DIVAS, Disney’s Beauty and the Beast, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat and Nunsense. In addition to the preview show, there will be a Patio Cabaret, where guests are invited to bring their own sheet music to participate in the performance themselves! $20 for Season Preview & Cabaret, $50 for Season Preview, Cabaret & Cocktail Party.

THE MULTI-TALENTED DAVE HILL: COMEDY NIGHT

Enjoy an awesome line-up of comedians in what is sure to be a laugh-filled night. Headliner Dave Hill is a comedian, writer, musician, actor, radio host who has appeared on Netflix’s The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, Amazon’s The Tick and TBS' Full Frontal with Samantha Bee. His resume includes live comedy performances all over the world and appearances at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival, SXSW and the U.S. Comedy Arts Festival. He has also written for the New York Times, GQ, The Paris Review and The New York Observer.
