BACK PORCH MUSIC: SEAN ROWE
IN PERSON
June 12th, Saturday, 7PM
A favorite on NPR’s Mountain Stage, blues-alt-folk musician Sean Rowe’s voice has the quality of soulful, gravelly thunder. His songs reflect a longing to connect—not surprising given his year spent in outdoor survival school—which inspired the songs on his acclaimed album Magic. Meanwhile, the music on his fifth and latest album New Lore has evolved into an electrifying combination of folk, blues, gospel and junk-shop rock. An international touring artist, Rowe’s music has been widely used in film and television including NBC’s The Blacklist & Parenthood. Bring a blanket or lawn chair, relax outside, take in the beautiful setting and enjoy the music that NPR says it just can’t stop playing. $25 Day-of, $20 Advance, Free Kids 12 & Under.
Hancock Shaker Village. 1843 West Housatonic Street. Pittsfield MA. 413.443.0188.
