Jazz at Music Mountain

From classical to cool, Music Mountain has it all this summer. The Mountain has partnered with the Catskill Jazz Factory to bring talented jazz musicians to its bucolic campus to perform during its Saturday Twilight Series.

The Catskill Jazz Factory is a non-profit program founded in 2012 that supports today's best young jazz artists.

Five jazz concerts will be presented this summer, including Jonanna Wallfisch in “Beyond Joni Mitchell,” her debut retrospective of 1960s songstresses, July 17; jazz pianist and APA Cole Porter Fellow Dan Tepfer in “Goldberg Variations/Variations,” performing each of Bach’s original Goldberg Variations followed with an improvised variation of his own, July 23; "virtuosos on saxophone" Peter and Will Anderson in “Sax Squared,” presenting the repertoire and stylings of sax legends including Charlie Parker, Stan Getz, Dexter Gordon, and Coleman Hawkins, July 30; “Joplin, Ragtime & The Birth of Jazz,” led by trombonist Chris Washburne and pianist André Mehmari, calling on the sounds of Ernest Hogan, Scott Joplin and more, August 6; and Chris Pattishall in “Octet Musical Fictions: Borges in Tango,” a night of jazz dedicated to the writings of Argentinian author Jorge Luis Borges and the history of tango, August 13.

All concerts are at 6:30PM. For further information or tickets, please click on the link below.
