Get the warm feeling of having done a good deed while enjoying an evening of fabulous music at the Mahaiwe Theatre February 11th when Construct Inc. presents Warm Up the Winter – A Benefit for Fuel Assistance.

Wanda Houston and The Wanda Houston Band, will take the stage along with the Monument Spartones, Quintessential, Joe Rose, Marisa Massery with Chantell McFarland, Nico Wohl, Allyn Burrows and a special appearance by Rabbi Deborah Zecher.

All proceeds from ticket sales go toward fuel assistance for needy South Berkshire residents.

The program is hosted by Construct Inc., a not for profit organization that for the past half century has sought to provide housing stability for some 600 to 800 households in the Southern Berkshires.

Last year Construct received more than 1,700 gifts ranging from $5 to $100,000 to help stabilize more than 500 households in the region by providing emergency assistance to prevent loss of housing, transitional housing and supportive services to individuals. It also seeks to increase the stock of affordable housing.

Construct provides some 70 units of affordable permanent housing options, including 20 units that prioritize homeless families and individuals. In addition, 10 units (bedrooms) provide transitional housing for homeless men and women.

The February 11th show is co-sponsored by VIM, Berkshire South, Music in Common, Southern Berkshire Chamber of Commerce, Railroad Street Youth Project, Fairview Hospital, CHP, Shakespeare and Company and Berkshire Playwrights Lab.
