Children at the Clark

Children and families can take part in fun activities and opportunities to see great art during the Massachusetts public school system’s February vacation week. The Clark Art Institute will offer the vacation week celebration Monday, February 17th through Friday, February 21st.

Children can pick up a free drawing pad and set of colored pencils each day at the Clark Center admissions desk. Visitors are also encouraged to pick up a Wall Power! gallery guide to learn more about the Clark’s current tapestry exhibition.

Special vacation week programming is offered Tuesday, February 18th, and Thursday, February 20th.

In connection with the vibrant Wall Power! Modern French Tapestry from the Mobilier national Paris exhibition, families are welcome to participate in a drop-in weaving session on February 18th and 20th, 10AM–12PM.

After making a woven artwork to take home, visitors are welcome to join an all-ages tour of Wall Power! The special tours, offered at 1PM on February 18th and 20th, explores the materials, processes and histories of French tapestries.

All February School Vacation Week activities are free but capacity for the Wall Power Roses and Candlelight! tours is limited. Tickets are available for pick up at the Clark Center admissions desk on a first-come, first-served basis.

Admission is always free for anyone aged 21 or younger and for students of all ages. For more information, visit clarkart.edu/events.
