Circus Day

Circus Day was such a success last year Hunt Library is bringing it back on Saturday, July 16th.

The event will be held from 2 to 4 PM on the library lawn. There will be face painting, stilt walkers, games, a slip and slide, cotton candy, popcorn, balloon animals and more.

Tickets are $5 per person or $20 per family (up to six persons) and can be purchased in person at the library or by going to huntlibrary.org

The rain date is July 17th.

Circuses are fun, of course, but the true purpose of a library is to provide literary resources for all. Children ages 5 of age and older can sign up for the library’s popular summer reading program which kicks off Thursday, June 30th, with the library’s first 4-H program of the year at 2:30 PM, followed immediately by an ice cream party.

Stop by the library to sign up or email Rita Delgado rdelgado@salisburyschool.org so there will be enough ice cream on hand.

On Tuesday, July 12th, there will be a field trip to Great Mountain Forest where young adventurers can participate in a forest scavenger hunt. Participants should meet there a bit after 10:30 AM or at the library to form a caravan. Bring a picnic lunch and a favorite teddy bear to celebrate Teddy Bear Picnic Day.

During July and August, the Hunt will offer even more programs for kids of all ages. Details can be found on the library’s calendar. Sign up for programs at the library by phone at 860-824-7424 or by email to rdelgado@salisburyschool.org

David M. Hunt Library is located at 63 Main Street, Falls Village; 860-824-7424.
