Clutter Free Living

It’s our stuff! The accumulation of a lifetime, much of it carrying with it important memories. But there comes a time when all of us must divest some of our possessions lest we become — gasp! — hoarders.

So, where do you begin? That is what host Nancy Deutsch, otherwise known as The Empathic Organizer will discuss Friday April 28th at 4 PM at the David M. Hunt Library.

Organizing became her passion 10 years ago when, as an only child, she had to go through and clear out her parents’ homes. Deutsch will share how to gently approach, and even enjoy, decluttering our homes and the homes of our loved ones, as well as respecting and acknowledging the emotional challenges that come up in the process.

She works with clients either in-person or virtually. As she tours the home with the client, they identify together opportunities to expand space and develop skills to keep the home organized and the client anxiety free.

She can assist in preparation for moving as well as aid in assessing objects and deciding whether to keep them, toss them, recycle, donate or sell them to achieve comfort levels.

She is a member of the National Association of Productivity and Organizing. David M. Hunt Library is located at 63 Main Street, Falls Village; 860-824-7424; www.huntlibrary.org.
