Miss Hall’s School has been maximizing girls’ potential and challenging expectations since its founding in 1898. An internationally known boarding and day school, Miss Hall’s offers high school students a personalized academic program, distinctive moments of practice, and a diverse community that is deeply embedded in the Berkshires.

A place of action, collaboration and adaptation, where experiences are tailored to the needs of each student and the demands of the world, Miss Hall’s connects and supports learners in ways that set them up for success.

“Miss Halls fosters an environment that opens possibilities and encourages individuals to explore their passions, take initiative, advocate for themselves, and be leaders.”—Iva Knezevic, Class of 2024

Life-changing Experiences
Living and learning alongside students from 24 countries and 10 U.S. states creates opportunities for cross-cultural dialogue and problem-solving across differences. Each student is known and seen at Miss Hall’s and is inspired to share their passions and cultures.

Surrounded by creativity and innovation in the Berkshires, the school offers access to world-class visual and performing arts, thriving nonprofits, a pioneering ethos and extensive extracurriculars that enhance student growth.

Miss Hall’s signature Horizons program, now in its 29th year, teaches real-world leadership skills and places girls in internships at more than 75 regional businesses, professional offices, cultural institutions, and social service organizations. This hands-on experience is an opportunity for students to explore career interests and build their resumes for college and beyond—a launch pad for the future.

“I knew leaving Miss Hall’s that I liked biology and wanted to help people. I worked at a pediatrics practice as my Horizons site and went on to the University of Pennsylvania and then medical school to become a primary care physician. Being part of a well-established internship program at such a young age gave me early exposure to the medical field.”—Dr. Masha Slavin, alum, Class of 2007

Advanced Studies
Miss Hall’s curriculum is designed to give voice and choice in learning. Each student’s personalized path begins with academic counseling and foundational courses in the first year, progresses to upper-level electives and accelerates beyond Advanced Placement (AP) to Hallmark courses that encourage critical discourse and sustained inquiry. Their academic journey culminates in superb college placement.

The school’s exceptional STEAM curriculum includes 27 courses in the Expressive Arts and a dedicated Department of Engineering and Technology Innovation. Outstanding Humanities and Language courses incorporate local and global perspectives into essential learning. Inspired teachers and mentors empower students to realize their fullest potential as learners. At Miss Hall’s, girls reach farther than they thought possible, alongside peers who seek out the thrill of new discoveries.

“I see the light shining bright in her and her creativity is expanding! She is enjoying every minute at Miss Hall’s and I am enjoying the peace of mind that comes from her being in a positive and safe place.” — Kim Kisselbrock, parent of Kara, Class of 2027

Every student has a Personal Team, a connected circle of teachers, advisors and peers who support, guide and cheer them on. No one falls between the cracks.

Affording MHS
Miss Hall’s defies students’ expectations of school—and of themselves. The school awards more than $5 million annually in scholarships and tuition support and, through the school’s Personalized Family Tuition program, each family pays according to their abilities, needs and circumstances. A calculator on the misshalls.org website provides families with an estimate and clarity on how to make this transformative experience possible.

“We believe deeply in the power and potential of girls, and our approach is about seeing each student for their strengths and interests, and tailoring the way we support and teach that student.” - Julia Heaton, Head of School
