Four Brothers Drive-In

For those of a certain age, summer nights often included a trip to the local drive-in where the movie was almost incidental to the evening’s experience. The innovative little Amenia Drive-in, now celebrating its fifth birthday, continues to raise that expectation to new levels with additional attractions to make a visit a culinary and cultural happening.

As impatient as the rest of us for spring to begin, the drive-in has already begun showing films on weekends. This weekend brings screenings of Wonder Park at 7:15 PM and Captain Marvel at 8:45 PM. The theater will continue to be open weekends until the official opening of the new season on April 19.

The theater was closed but work continued throughout the winter to prepare for the new season. The menu, already renowned for its quality, is being updated and new birthday packages are available.

Season tickets are now on sale through April 19 giving patrons unlimited access for only $209. The tickets are transferable to two other people for use if you can’t be there. Daily tickets can be pre-ordered online, just click on the link below.

This season patrons can also listen to the movies via bluetooth/wifi connections.

Perhaps the most unusual of the drive-in’s new offering is its Hotel Caravana, a mid-century, bohemian-style, recreational vehicle designed to give patrons an escape from everyday pressures. The 1969 Sunstream features kitchenette, bathroom, heat and air conditioning, wi-fi, a sound system, EV charger and four bicycles.

But that is not all. Breakfast snacks are included with the rental and room service is also available from 3 to 9:30 PM. Patrons can use the RV as a base for exploration of the region or watch the movie while lolling in a hammock, play lawn games or tell tales by the firepit.
