FESTIVAL OF LIGHTS: MILLERTON ILLUMINATED
November 29th, Friday, 10AM - 7PM

Come share the spirit of the holidays at Millerton’s annual Festival of Lights. Starting with a free screening of The Grinch at The Moviehouse, you can take the free horse and carriage rides on a prominent Percheron, enjoy a holiday decorating activity for the young ones and the Salisbury Christmas Brass Band and Hot Chocolate Society. Then comes the main event, the Parade of Lights, and the event concludes with a holiday party for the whole community.

FLASH READING: A MOVING TALE
November 30th, Saturday, 12 - 1PM

In this unique, innovative event, performers will be hitting the streets of downtown Great Barrington, reading the children’s book Frog Belly Rat Bone as they walk. In true busking fashion there will be a collection can next to each reader and the proceeds will support the Flying Cloud Institute. Free.

LITTLE WOMEN: AN ENDURING TALE

Inspired by the enduring legacy of Lousia May Alcott’s Little Women, the Berkshires-based audiobook company, Alison Larkin Present, has released a brand-new audiobook adaptation. Actress Anne Undeland will read excerpts after which she and Ms. Larkin will discuss Alcott’s early feminist roots, her links to Massachusetts, and ‘Little Women’ then and now. In the tradition of Ventfort Hall, the event will be followed by a Victorian tea. $28 Advance, $32 Day-of.
