NORA KRUG IN CONVERSATION: POWER OF IMAGES

History is personal in this conversation with award-winning artist Nora Krug. The German American author and illustrator draws from unique, wide-ranging sources of inspiration and in-depth research resulting in provocative visual storytelling that invites you to understand and reconcile the past in service of a brighter future. This is at the heart of the newest feature exhibition at the Norman Rockwell Museum which focuses on Krug’s powerful graphic memoir, Belonging: A German Reckons with History and Home and her most recent book publication, an illustrated edition of Yale historian Timothy Snyder’s On Tyranny: Twenty Lessons from the Twentieth Century.

Fugelsang who hosted America’s Funniest Home Videos for ABC, now hosts “Tell Me Everything” weekdays on SirirusXM and has appeared at Montreal’s Just for Laughs Festival and HBO’s U.S. Comedy Arts Festival in Aspen. $38.

BERKSHIRE LYRIC PRESENTS: KICK THE WINTER BLUES

Celebrating their 60th Anniversary Season, Berkshire Lyric is presenting their annual “Kick the Winter Blues” pop concerts and the first since 2019 due to the pandemic. This year’s program is called “A Musical Trip to Ireland,” and features popular and traditional Irish music including such favorites as “Danny Boy” and “When the Irish Are Smiling,” sung by the Berkshire Lyric Chorus, the Lyric Children’s Chorus, and Melodious Accord. You’ll also enjoy special guests including a Berkshire Irish dance group. $20 Adults, Free for Children.
