GARET&CO: "AND SOMETIMES I WISH”

A project-based contemporary dance company working out of Connecticut and New York, Garet&Co is led by choreographer, dancer, and teacher Garet Wierdsma. Striving to create art that comes from a place of truth, Garet&Co's pieces often deal with themes of struggling with mental health and the search for peace within chaos. "And sometimes I wish" is a reflection of that desire to create work that is both guttural and beautiful as they actively work towards being generators of light. $20 - $25 Adults, Free for 18 & under.

This year's Lenox Jazz Stroll features two full days of fantastic jazz throughout historic Lenox. The Peggy Stern Trio will kick off the weekend at the Gateways Inn with local fan favorites The Lucky 5, vocal powerhouse Wanda Houston; more on Saturday during the day at Lilac Park; Saturday evening performances from The Benny Kohn Trio at Pizzeria Boema and The Ted Rosenthal Trio at Gateways Inn. Reservations are encouraged so you can complement these performances with a delicious dinner. Free.

MOTOR CITY FEVER: A MUSICAL CELEBRATION OF MOTOWN

CHANOYU: THE WAY OF TEA

Enjoy a 600 year tradition with this Matcha Workshop. Kumiko Jitsokawa, tea master of Ki-Chu in New York, will give a lesson in the meditation of making and drinking Matcha. In this unique opportunity, you will learn the proper way to make delicious and nutritious Matcha using traditional techniques and utensils, in exquisite antique Japanese chawan (tea bowls). This tea experience will take place in a private, workshop space designed by the elegant decor experts from New Preston-based Pergola Home and you'll also be able to enjoy delicious sweets.
