MASS MoCA CURATOR TOUR: INSIDE LOOK

Join MASS MoCA’s Chief Curator Denise Markonish for an exclusive member talk and tour of the museum’s new exhibition, Joseph Grigely: In What Way Wham? Everyone will meet in the lobby to kick off the walk-through of the galleries followed by an intimate conversation in the R&D Store. You can expect insights into the artist’s works and find books, artist editions, and other items for purchase to take a bit of your experience home with you. HANDS-ON SOURDOUGH 101: STARTER POINT

January 13th, Saturday, 11AM - 3PM
If you want to pull crusty sourdough loaves out of your own oven, this is for you. This is a hands-on class that will teach the key points of sourdough: making/caring for your sourdough culture, mixing dough, proofing, shaping, baking and using your sense to make a really good loaf. Each participant will leave class with dough ready to bake in their own kitchen, a portion of Found Bread’s sourdough starter, a recipe for a sourdough loaf. You will also bake a few loaves to eat during class. $132.75.

BOSTON BRUINS ALUMNI VS. BERKSHIRE COUNTY LAW ENFORCEMENT HOCKEY GAME: UNGRUDGE MATCH

The Boston Bruins Alumni are coming back to the Berkshire School to play hockey, to show support and raise funds for the Berkshire County Law Enforcement Community & Warrior for Life Fund. A Pugzee Farm initiative is helping to develop local mental health and wellness services for members of the Berkshire County Law Enforcement community. The Warrior for Life Fund provides support to active duty service members, veterans and their families through sport and community as they navigate the unique challenges of combat deployments and life after service. $20 General Admission, Sponsorship starting at $500.

WASSAIL!: ENSURING A BOUNTIFUL HARVEST

Join the team at Little Apple Cider to wake the tree spirits and shoo the evil demons away to ensure a bountiful harvest this year at this fun community event! The festivity begins indoors to eat, drink and be merry. A gathering outside by the fire will follow with a short procession into the orchard for the blessing of the trees. Make sure to dress warmly, bring a flashlight and don’t forget your noisemakers! Bring your drums, bells, clackers, kazoos, pots and of course, your vocal cords—a real hootin’ and hollerin’ is needed to scare the evil spirits away. Tickets include food and drink—soup and sides by Aloha Tacos plus Cider Wassail Punch. $33.85.
