LILAC WALKS: HISTORY IN BLOOM

When you think of the Bellamy-Ferriday House & Gardens, you think of lilacs. Each spring the stunning variety of lilacs curated by Caroline Ferriday and her mother scent the gardens and show off their fleeting blossoms in shades of purples, pinks and even whites. Tour the gardens to learn about the long history of the lilacs on the property and their care. $10 - $15. Tickets for a house tour must be purchased separately.

2024 MONA SHERMAN MEMORIAL LECTURE: ARI MELBER

The Osher Lifelong Learning Institute is honored to present Ari Melber as the 2024 Mona Sherman Memorial Lecturer. Melber is an Emmy Award-winning journalist, evening news anchor, writer and attorney. He anchors The Beat with Ari Melber on MSNBC, serves as the network’s chief legal correspondent and is a legal analyst for NBC News. Melber received his 2016 Emmy Award for his reporting on the Supreme Court and was nominated for a 2020 Emmy for an “Outstanding Live Interview,” featuring four witnesses in the Mueller probe. He has been published in The New York Times, Washington Post, The Atlantic, Politico, and numerous other renowned publications. Melber previously practiced First Amendment law and is a member of the New York Bar. Free.

JACOB'S PILLOW: THE ROYAL BALLET OF THE UK

Not only is this the Pillow debut of The Royal Ballet of the United Kingdom but is also a World Premiere and the only US performance. This special event includes a Talk with Norton Owen, Preservation Director at Blake's Barn on the Jacob's Pillow grounds, lunch (BYO), dessert and a once-in-a-lifetime performance. The program, performed with live music, features a World Premiere by Wayne McGregor, created especially for Jacob’s Pillow with works by Frederick Ashton, Kenneth McMillian, and Christopher Wheeldon. The Royal Ballet Principals Matthew Ball, Mayara Magri, Natalia Osipova, Marcelino Sambé, Anna Rose O’Sullivan and Sarah Lamb will perform with a vibrant array of the company’s dancers. Tickets are almost sold out so make sure to plan far in advance! $120 OLLI Members, $130 Guests.
