WILLIAMSTOWN THEATER FESTIVAL PRESENTS: PAMELA PALMER

The author of “innumerable clever comedies” (The New York Times), David Ives puts a noir spin on an existential romance in this world premiere play. Pamela Palmer lives a seemingly perfect life with her husband at Wishwood but has a bizarre suspicion something’s wrong. She then becomes entangled with the detective she hires to investigate. Directed by Ives’ longtime collaborator, Walter Bobbie (Chicago, Venus in Fur), Pamela Palmer goes undercover, a plainclothes philosophical look at the human condition. $35 - $80.

SCENIC SIPS FEST: SPIRITS ABOUND

The inaugural Scenic Sips Fest features offerings from craft beverage makers Chatham Brewing, Hudson Valley Distillers, Whitecliff Winery and more. If you want to have a good time without alcohol, you will also be able to enjoy delicious bites from local food trucks, craft and specialty food vendors as well as live music. $10 - $25 Adults, free for children 12 & under.

TABLEAUX VIVANT: LIVING PICTURES
IN PERSON
August 3rd, Saturday, 5:30PM - 6:30PM
Join Mr. and Mrs. French at Chesterwood in one of their favorite parlor games - the creation of "living pictures" using costumes, props and imagination! Tableaux Vivants or Living Pictures are pictures formed inside a frame with living persons in imitation of paintings. They became a popular form of entertainment in the 19th century and the French family home was no exception. Returning for its third performance in the Arts Alive! series, the Tableaux Vivants program is conceived and created by Doria Bramante, an award-winning theater artist and documentary filmmaker. $10 - $20 Adults, free for children under 18.

Calling all Berkshire County seniors! Jacob’s Pillow is hosting a dance workshop where you’ll explore line dancing, disco and improvisation with acclaimed choreographers David Dorfman and Lisa Race. Movement of our precious bodies – in any way, shape, or form – is all important. Seniors with any level of dance experience (or none!) can find joy and discovery in this workshop, navigating positive change by dancing through life with each other. Free.
