FISH & GAME: A VERY SWEET TREAT

Enjoy a special collaborative dinner as James Beard Award Winning chef Zakary Pelaccio (formerly of the Fatty Crab in New York City) teams up with famed pastry chef Will Goldfarb in honor of Goldfarb’s new book, Room For Dessert. The 6-course tasting menu features 3 savory courses from the Fish & Game team along with 3 dessert courses from chef Goldfarb, recently featured in the award-winning Netflix series Chef’s Table. In addition to enjoying the food, guests will also receive a copy of the beautiful new book published by Phaidon. Reservations required. $95 (with optional wine pairing offered).

BERKCHIQUE: FASHION POP-UP SALE & FUNDRAISER

Now in its 7th year, BerkChique! has donated over $150,000 to support local nonprofits, and this year the sale’s proceeds are supporting of the fabulous WAM Theatre and its programs with additional donations going to the Berkshire Humane Society, CATA and IS183 Art School. The annual event features new and gently-used clothing and accessories, many of which are collected from the the most fashionable closets in the Berkshires. For the Friday night First Dibs Shopping Party, a select few will have first access to the shopping racks at 5:30PM (with a $100 VIP ticket) and the other partygoers will join in at 6:30PM with a purchase of a $25 ticket. The First Dibs Party features hors d’oeuvres and complimentary refreshments courtesy of The Red Lion Inn and Domaney’s as well as goodie bags with items from Blue Q, Jane Iredale and Radiance Yoga. The weekend event will continue with free admission for all shoppers.

HOLLISTER HOUSE GARDEN’S FAVORITE ‘PLANTSPEOPLE’
May 12th, Saturday 10AM - 2PM

Hollister House will be hosting some of their favorite “plantspeople” to set up shop there for the day. Visit the garden and get some expert help selecting some new and unusual plants for your garden. Vendors include: Broken Arrow Nursery, growers of rare and unusual plants; Something to Crow About Dahlias, offering hundreds of varieties of dahlias; Battle Hill Forge, producers of hand forged heirloom quality landscape and garden accents; and McCue Gardens and Falls Village Flower Farm growers of perennials, wildflowers and shrubs. Garden members have the option of arriving at 9AM for first dibs on all the goods!

HUNT LIBRARY HOMEGROWN PLANT, BAKE & BOOK SALE
May 19th & 20th, Friday & Saturday, 9AM - 2PM

Falls Village’s growers and gardeners will provide a wide variety of vegetable plants, including all sorts of tomatoes, plus annuals, perennials, and house plants all grown by local gardeners and CSAs. Volunteer organizer Ruth Giumarro likes to say, “gardening is cheaper than therapy and you get tomatoes.” There will also be a bake sale and the library’s famous Upstairs/Downstairs Book Sale will have a selection of gardening books. Enjoy one free book from a section of bonus choices for every $30 you spend on plants and baked goods.
