The world slowed to a crawl in 2020 and many businesses found themselves struggling. But even as the economy turned down, the jewel-like hamlet of New Preston added even more sparkle to its offerings with the opening of Hays Worthington which specializes in exceptional fine and estate jewelry.

Hays Worthington, owned by sisters Claudia Di Fabrizio and Sarah Lee Martin, expanded its New York City operations last fall to include a new shop at 13 East Shore Road in the hamlet, where they offer elegant examples of the jeweler’s art spanning the decades between the Georgian period (1710-1830s) through to contemporary pieces.

Each piece is carefully selected and the majority of the jewelry offered is one-of-a-kind. The collection comprises exquisite rings, earrings, necklaces, brooches, bracelets, pendants and accessories. In addition, the sisters have their own Hays Worthington designs inspired by the vintage periods they love.
