James Taylor Tickets
Winter still has 21 days on the calendar, but area residents will have to act quickly to secure entrance to one of summer’s most popular events. Tickets for the July 3rd and 4th Tanglewood performances by James Taylor and his All-Star Band go on sale March 6th and will sell out fast.
He and his band will perform both nights in the Koussevitzky Music Shed, with the July 4th concert followed by a spectacular fireworks display over the Stockbridge Bowl in celebration of Independence Day.
Taylor makes his home in the Berkshires, continuing a love affair with the region that has spanned decades. Indeed, his iconic song, “Rockabye Sweet Baby James,” records his 1970 journey from Stockbridge to Boston to see his namesake infant nephew.
Taylor is known for classics such as “Fire and Rain,” “Country Road,” “Shower the People,” “Carolina In My Mind,” “Don’t Let Me Be Lonely Tonight,” “Walking Man,” and “Shed a Little Light.”
As in past years, Kim and James Taylor will donate proceeds from the July 4 performance to Tanglewood. Taylor has returned to the festival 25 times since his first performance there in 1974.
Tickets for the concerts are priced from $27 (lawn tickets) to $108 and may be purchased by calling 888-266-1200 or by clicking the link below.
