Kent Flower Market

There will be markets, music, mockmosas and more when Kent Barns celebrates Mother’s Day—albeit a day in advance. The shopping complex will host its first Flower Market at RT Facts Saturday, May 7th, presenting a wide assortment of spring flowers and plants from local growers. Sip mockmosas while perusing the seasonal offerings.

The whole complex will be abuzz that day with flower and food markets, live music and activities. Planned events include story time from 10-11AM at the House of Books; the flower market from 10 AM-1PM at RT Facts; a Farmers Market from 10AM-2PM and Scribble Art for all ages under the big maple tree, 11AM-1PM. There will also be live music under the tree from noon to 3PM.

The shops, galleries and eateries themselves will offer inspiration for those seeking a last-minute ideas for honoring mother.

The Kent Flower Market is part of the Second Saturday calendar from June through October and features demonstrations of floral arranging, planting, crafts with flowers and dramatic table designs.
