Puppies, Prosecco & Pizza

Among the many pleasures life offers can be counted warm puppies, cold Prosecco and a hot pizza. Bring the three together and you have pure heaven.

That is what the Berkshire Humane Society will do Saturday, July 27th from 4 to 6 PM at Race Brook Lodge in Sheffield when it offers Puppies, Prosecco and Pizza.

Supporters of the charitable organization—a private nonprofit animal shelter located in Pittsfield MA that has sheltered, cared for and rehomed more than 43,000 homeless animals since 1992—can sit in the enchanting atmosphere of The Stagecoach Tavern at Race Brook Lodge make a toast to the BHS and their own puppies at heart.

Proceeds will be donated to the Berkshire Humane Society and donations include two slices of pizza and a glass of Prosecco or sparkling juice for youngsters. There will also be treats for dogs.

Tickets can be purchased in advance by visiting Race Brook Lodge as well as on the day of the event. Tickets are $15 in advance and $20 at the door. The Berkshire Humane Society will accept monetary and pet item donations during the afternoon on the Pine Grove Porch

Race Brook Lodge is located at the foot of Mount Race, 864 South Undermountain Road (Route 41). The Stagecoach Tavern offers farm-to-table cuisine in a relaxed atmosphere. Much of the food is sourced from Race Farm, right on the property.

BHS is the only open-admission shelter serving Berkshire County and surrounding areas. BHS accepts all companion animals–no matter the age, breed, temperament or health.

There is no restriction on the length of time that any adoptable companion animal remains at the shelter. Some are there for only days before being placed with new loving families—others for months. The BHS prides itself on being able to rehome 100 percent of the healthy, adoptable dogs, cats, small mammals, and birds that pass through its doors.
