Roberto's Pizza
Pizza lovers take note! There’s a new sheriff in town. Roberto Robles, a first-generation Mexican-American has taken on the iconic Italian food and given it his own twist, receiving rave reviews from his customers.
Roberto’s Pizza located at 113 Main Street in Sheffield opened this spring after Robles spent a year in Covid lockdown perfecting his recipes. He asserts that the secret to his pizzas is simple: dough, sauces and starters made from scratch and pizzas baked at high heat in brick ovens. And then there is ingenuity …. Robles’ pizzas offer new and different tastes not found elsewhere.
The restaurant offers frequent specials such as fig and date or quesadilla pizzas, butternut squash soup served in a bowl of rustic bread or a sandwich made from Roberto’s fresh baked bread, brick-oven meatballs, marinara, mozzarella and basil. Still, our favorite will always be the Hippie Dippie, made with vegan cheese, olives, baby Portobello mushrooms, roasted garlic, toasted almonds, arugula and balsamic glaze. Yummy!
“No matter my environment, creativity has always followed me …,” he writes on his website, adding, “My work ethic and artistic vision combine to make me the entrepreneur that I am today.”
In addition to pizzas, visitors can always enjoy a variety of salads, soups, sandwiches and top it all off with ice cream.
The restaurant is open Wednesday-Saturday, 4-9PM, and Sunday, 4-8PM; 413-248-1241.
