Salisbury Clambake

The 17th annual Traditional New England Clambake benefiting the Jane Lloyd Fund is set for Saturday, July 27th, from 2-8 PM at SWSA’s Satre Hill. The fund, established after Lloyd’s death from breast cancer in 2005, helps cancer victims in Region 1 who cannot meet their day-to-day expenses as the result of their illnesses.

It echoes the support friends gave to Lloyd who was unable to work full-time during the later stages of her illness. Their generosity reduced her financial stress and enabled to her live in her much-loved home until her death. In her memory the endowed fund within Berkshire Taconic Community Foundation will help families maintain a supportive environment at home for cancer patients for many generations to come.

The New England Clambake offers a cornucopia of favorite foods: lobster, clams, corn and potatoes, all cooked on a bed of seaweed. Also offered are a variety of options, including hamburgers, hot dogs, chicken sandwiches and clam chowder.

To complement the meal, there will be beer and wine available for purchase. To finish the banquet, the community has offered a dessert table to satisfy anyone’s sweet tooth.

This is a popular event and sells out every year so get your tickets early. Tickets are available. Click here.
