Tanglewood Concerts
The Boston Symphony Orchestra has extended the season at Tanglewood this year with a series of off-season concerts. The next will be a Tanglewood Learning Institute concert on Saturday, December 12th, at 3 PM in the Linde Center for Music and Learning.
It will feature Andrea Clearfield’s Three Songs after Pablo Neruda for violin and double bass, as well as Shostakovich’s Sonata in G for violin and piano, Op. 134;1> Weinberg’s Sonata for solo double bass, Op. 108, and Penderecki’s Duo Concertante for violin and double bass.
Performers are Yevgeny Kutik, who grew up in Pittsfield, on violin, Edwin Barker, double bass, and Anna Polonsky, piano.
On March 13th, the program will be presented by BSO violinists Victor Romanul and Xin Ding, BSO violist Daniel Getz, BSO cellist Mickey Katz, and pianist Randall Hodgkinson, playing music by Jessie Montgomery, Shostakovich and Sibelius.
The final program, on April 10th, features members of the BSO bass section, harpist Charles Overton, tenor Eric Carey and BSO Assistant Conductor Anna Rakitina performing works by Bartok, Britten and several contemporary composers.

Proof of either vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test are required to attend. A negative COVID-19 test either must be a PCR test taken within the previous 72 hours or an antigen test taken within the previous 24 hours.
Proof of a negative test can be in the form of a photo or email of negative test results from a clinic, testing center or medical professional or a time-stamped photo of an at-home test. Options for proof of vaccination include showing a vaccination card, a photo of the card, or a digital vaccine record.
