Tinseliner

Tickets on Sale

Nostalgia is a basic ingredient in the recipe for a joyous Christmas and what better way to achieve it than by taking a trip back in time aboard the Tinseliner, Berkshire Scenic Railway Museum's evocation of the era of black-and-white television, Lionel Trains, Bing Crosby, “glow bright” Christmas lights, silver trees and colorful tinsel.

Each year, the BSRM offers hour-long rides originating from Adams MA in a 1950s-style stainless steel Budd rail diesel car. Father Christmas is a special guest on each ride, stopping to chat with all the little passengers. The trip includes a layover at the PopCares Tree Lot for hot cocoa and roasted marshmallows and possibly to tag a tree for later pick up. Proceeds benefit the PopCares organization.

The Tinseliner runs November 23rd-25th; and December 1st, 2nd, 8th, 9th, 15th and 16th, at noon, 2-4PM.

The BSRM is also offering a holiday version of its popular summer cabaret train for adults on November 24 and December 15 with live holiday music by Sam & Ron (Samantha Talora and Ron Ramsey). Guests are free to bring their own beverages and snacks. Tickets for the 6:30PM train at $25.

Regular Tinseliner tickets are $20 for adults and $16 for children ages 2-12. They may be purchased online - early purchase is strongly suggested - by visiting the link below. Tickets may be purchased at the train without reservation if seats are available. Trains depart from Adams Station at 3 Hoosac Avenue, Adams MA.
