Vertical Challenge

Ski Sundown will host a Vertical Challenge Saturday, February 21st, from 9:30AM to 2:30PM.

The Vertical Challenge series was inaugurated in 1991 and is a series of free casual downhill ski and snowboard races held on mountains throughout the Northeast during the winter season.

Participants are divided by skier/snowboarder, male/female and by age divisions as they compete for gold, silver and bronze medals in each category.

In addition to the races, the event holds a concurrent festival with the crew playing games with the families and a deejay providing music.

The first 100 registered racers receive a commemorative t-shirt.

Pre-registration is available in advance of the 21st. Sampling begins at 9AM with races from 10AM until noon on Gunbarrel. A party and awards follow at 1:30PM.

The event is free with a Ski Sundown season pass or lift ticket. Helmets ae strongly encouraged.
